In the final project for my Power Electronics course at Olin, my team of two upgraded the flyback converter testbench used throughout the course from a nominal 18V input to a 48V input. This upgrade required creating new magnetics (ie, the transformer) with the desired turns characteristics, alongside adding in an auxiliary winding and power circuit to drive the integrated circuit used for controlling the flyback converter.
